1. Scope

This Policy applies to our United States website, online store, customer accounts, communications, warranty and support interactions, and related services. It does not govern third-party websites or services that have their own privacy policies.

2. Personal Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Identity and contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, shipping address, and account username.
  • Account credentials, such as a password stored in protected or hashed form. We do not have access to your readable password where the platform stores it securely.
  • Transaction information, including products purchased, order history, shipping details, billing status, returns, refunds, and warranty records.
  • Payment-related information. Our payment and financing providers collect and process card, bank, credit, identity-verification, and financing information. Overclok does not directly store complete payment-card numbers.
  • Custom PC configuration and service information, including selected components, performance requirements, preferences, diagnostic details, repair history, warranty claims, and support communications.
  • Content you submit, including contact-form messages, reviews, ratings, photographs, files, technical specifications, and other user-generated content.
  • Marketing preferences and information submitted when you subscribe to newsletters, promotions, or product updates.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and network information, including IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, identifiers, and security or diagnostic data.
  • Usage information, including pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, session activity, interactions with store features, and approximate location inferred from IP address.
  • Cookie and similar-technology data used for essential site functions, analytics, personalization, fraud prevention, and advertising or retargeting.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from payment processors, financing providers, shipping carriers, fraud-prevention vendors, analytics providers, marketing partners, customer-support tools, social networks, embedded services, and other parties involved in providing or securing the services.

3. How We Use Personal Information

  • Provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the website, store, accounts, products, and services.
  • Process payments, financing applications, orders, shipping, returns, refunds, warranties, repairs, and support requests.
  • Build and configure custom computers according to customer specifications.
  • Authenticate accounts, communicate about transactions, and respond to questions or requests.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms.
  • Measure website performance, understand visitor behavior, and improve content and products.
  • Send newsletters and promotional communications where permitted; you may unsubscribe at any time.
  • Personalize advertising, conduct retargeting, measure advertising performance, and limit repeated or irrelevant advertisements.
  • Comply with law, enforce agreements, protect rights and safety, and establish or defend legal claims.
  • Carry out another purpose disclosed when the information is collected or with your consent.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, software development tools, and similar technologies. Some are necessary for shopping-cart, login, payment, security, and preference functions. Others support analytics, personalization, marketing, and retargeting.

We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand traffic and site performance. We may use advertising partners to show or measure personalized or retargeted advertising. For those purposes, we may disclose limited online activity information, such as cookie identifiers, device or advertising identifiers, IP address, pages viewed, and interactions with our website. We do not disclose complete payment-card numbers for advertising.

Certain disclosures for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under applicable state privacy laws even when money is not exchanged. Where required, you may opt out through our cookie or privacy-preference tool, a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link, or by emailing help@overclok.com. We will also process legally recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where required by applicable law.

Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the store from working. Cookie choices are generally specific to the browser and device you use.

5. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Commerce and hosting providers, including WordPress, WooCommerce, DigitalOcean, and vendors supporting site operation, backups, content delivery, spam filtering, security, and fraud prevention.
  • Payment and financing providers, including Stripe, PayPal, WooPayments, Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay. Their processing is also governed by their own privacy notices.
  • Shipping and fulfillment providers, including USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
  • Analytics and marketing providers, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Mailchimp, and advertising or retargeting partners.
  • Customer-support, live-chat, embedded-content, video, maps, social-media, and similar service providers.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, law-enforcement authorities, regulators, courts, or other parties when reasonably necessary for legal, compliance, safety, or claims purposes.
  • A buyer, investor, lender, successor, or adviser in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
  • Other parties at your direction, with your consent, or as otherwise disclosed when information is collected.

We do not sell personal information for money. As described above, limited disclosure of online identifiers and activity for retargeting may be treated as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some state laws.

6. Payment and Financing Services

Payment and financing providers may independently collect information needed to process a transaction, assess eligibility, verify identity, prevent fraud, or administer financing. Overclok generally receives transaction confirmations, limited account details, status information, and information needed to fulfill an order. Questions about a provider’s independent practices should be directed to that provider.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide services, maintain business and tax records, honor warranties, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We generally retain order, payment-status, warranty, and core customer transaction records for up to seven years after the relevant transaction or relationship, unless a longer period is required or justified. Account information is generally retained while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward. Marketing records are retained until you unsubscribe or we no longer need them. Routine inquiries, uploaded files, analytics data, and support records may be kept for shorter or longer periods depending on operational, security, warranty, backup, or legal needs. We may retain deidentified or aggregated information where it can no longer reasonably identify you.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No security measure or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.

9. Children’s Privacy

People of all ages may view the website. The website and store are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account, submit personal information, interact with account or commerce features, or place an order. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally sufficient parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Users ages 13 through 17 may create an account, submit information, communicate with us, or place an order only with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian. A parent or guardian may contact help@overclok.com to ask about, correct, or request deletion of a minor’s personal information, subject to verification and applicable law.

10. Your Choices

  • Account information: Review or update available information through your account or contact us.
  • Marketing email: Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. We may still send non-promotional account, order, warranty, security, or service messages.
  • Cookies and targeted advertising: Use the available cookie or privacy-preference controls, opt-out link, recognized browser signal where legally required, or contact us.
  • Reviews and submitted content: Contact us to request removal, subject to legal, recordkeeping, and platform limitations.

11. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and whether the applicable law covers Overclok, you may have rights to request access to or confirmation of processing; correction; deletion; a portable copy; and information about categories of personal information, sources, purposes, and recipients. You may also have the right to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; withdraw consent; appeal a denied request; and be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

To submit a request, email help@overclok.com and describe the right you wish to exercise. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law; we may request proof of authorization and identity verification. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny a request, residents of states providing an appeal right may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing the same address with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.

California residents may also use our website’s “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism, where available, to opt out of disclosures treated as sale or sharing. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 without the affirmative authorization required by applicable law.

The website may link to or embed services operated by third parties, including videos, maps, social-media features, payment tools, financing tools, and shipping services. Those third parties may collect information directly from you and operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their independent practices.

13. Processing Locations

Overclok operates and targets customers in the United States. We and our providers generally process information for U.S. operations; however, some providers and their subprocessors may access or process information from other jurisdictions as part of global infrastructure, support, security, or service delivery. Where applicable, those providers are responsible for using appropriate safeguards for their processing.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, services, vendors, or legal obligations. We will post the revised version on the website and update the “Last updated” date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.
